Sessions are offered both in person at our Gainesville office and via telehealth throughout the state of Florida.

About the Role
We're seeking a Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern to support our practice's online growth. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in digital marketing, healthcare/wellness branding, or content creation to gain hands-on experience with a real business — while helping reduce stigma around mental health and connect people to care.
You'll work closely with our team to build and execute a marketing strategy across several channels, with room to bring your own ideas to the table.
What You'll Do
Social Media: Plan, create, and schedule content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.); engage with followers and monitor comments/messages
Content Creation: Develop graphics, short videos, captions, and written content (e.g., mental health tips, practice updates, therapist spotlights) that aligns with our brand voice
SEO Optimization: Research keywords and help optimize website copy, blog posts, and Google Business Profile to improve search visibility
Website Design: Assist with updates, layout improvements, and content additions to our website (experience with Squarespace a plus)
Branding: Help maintain consistent visual identity and messaging across all platforms and materials
Digital Marketing: Support email newsletters, local advertising efforts, and tracking performance metrics (engagement, website traffic, etc.)
What We're Looking For
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field
Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic content creation tools
Interest in or basic understanding of SEO principles
Strong writing skills and attention to detail
Self-starter who can manage time well and take initiative
Comfort discussing mental health related topics sensitively and appropriately
Prior experience with website platform Squarespace is a plus but not required
What You'll Gain
Real-world portfolio pieces across social media, SEO, and web design
Mentorship and direct collaboration with practice leadership
Insight into marketing for small businesses
Flexible schedule that works around your coursework
How to Apply
Please send your resume, a brief cover letter, and (if available) a portfolio or examples of past social media/design work to support@horizonscounselingco.com
